Below are my results from the "Bartle Test"
Task 2
Watch the above video and discuss who are the different target audiences for this game?
I feel that the game 'Wired' is targeted at an audience from 10-30 year olds. And this is because it is a fairly complex game so the audience wouldn't be very young as they wouldn't understand it and would find it tricky, they could also find it very boring. Above from ten people are in their teens and their brains are more developed so they can understand whats going on in the game a lot more so it will appeal to them. Also, people above 30 will most likely find it boring as they will most likely know the majority about the game as most of it is general electricity knowledge.

Play the game in Chrome. Do you still agree? How has playing it affected your answer?
After playing I still feel the same about my answer with regards to target audience.
Task 4
- He goes on holiday with family and his partner
- His worries are not pleasing his audience
- He carries his car keys, phone and his house keys
- His favourite item of clothing is his gaming cap

What attracts the target audience to Hell blade is that they probably like having a connection with the main character. Also what would appeal to the audience is the elements of conflict as you have to fight the "norsemen", and also what is in the product which attracts the audience is the element of exploration as although the game is not free play and it is based on a storyline. The map is very big and goes on for a long period of time, also the graphics would appeal to the audience as they are so good even close up. The special effects (VFX) will appeal to the audience and make them want to play the game as again they are good that they look realistic in this world in which the game is set in. Another element would be to get into and involved with the storyline to really understand whats going on and what the purpose of the story is. This will make them want to play even more.

Write a short paragraph explaining why your pen portrait typical audience member is going to enjoy Hell blade:
My pen portrait typical audience member (Ali-A) is going to enjoy the game Hell Blade as this is what he does for his job and even in his spare time he plays video games mainly based around action. Hell Blade has a fair bit of fighting and action in the game so this will entertain him on what he likes most and engages with. Also, there are elements of adventure which he also enjoys as you can see from his youtube he likes to make a series of videos whilst progressing through an adventure game. In these videos you can see how much he enjoys adventuring through a game so from this I know that he will like Hell Blade. Last of all there is an element of darkness/horror and this is something new to him compared to his normal genre of games so it might interest him even more.

Explain what aspects of Hellblade the target audience is going to like best.
I feel that the part of Hell blade which my target audience (Ali A) will enjoy the most and find most interesting is the parts where the character "Seauna" has to fight her enemies with a sword. I feel that this will be his favourite bit as his favourite games that he plays on his youtube channel are are action and have conflict involved so this is why I feel that this would be his favourite bit.

Explain what would influence the target audience to play Hellblade. What are the key influences on the target audience?
What aspects which will appeal to Hell blade users again will be the action part of the game where there is fighting etc. Another will be the adventure element to the game where the character gets to explore. Another reason why it would appeal is that you can play it on multiple platforms for example Nintendo switch and Playstation 4. Last of all I feel that the audience will like the horror elements of the game as that's why they would buy it. The target audience of Hell blade would be from 18- 30 years as its an 18 rated game but the reason for this is that its quite graphic and might affect children, also it would be harder for children and young adults to understand as its more complex this is why it interests these years of age more.
The audience would have also seen Hell blade advertised on websites like IGN as they would follow these websites and see it come up and look into it. Also Ninja Theory has multiple social media accounts and one on twitter where they even have their own hashtag "#Hellblade" as they know the majority of their target audience will be on twitter so that's the reason why they have it on their and have it advertised. Also Ninja Theory made multiple trailers for Hell blade and put it on their youtube to advertise.
